Aquila UW Ltd, trading as Aquila Underwriting, acts as a Managing General Agent (MGA), binding insurance contracts on behalf of its capacity providers within agreed delegated authority. Aquila UW Ltd does not underwrite insurance on its own account and is not itself an insurer.
The services we provide to you as an Appointed Representative are covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (“FSCS”). You may be entitled to compensation from the FSCS, subject to applicable limits, if we cannot meet our obligations to you. This depends on the type of business and the circumstances of the claim.
Insurance advising and arranging is covered for 90% of the claim, without any upper limit. For compulsory classes of insurance, insurance advising and arranging is covered for 100% of the claim, also without any upper limit. The FSCS does not apply to consumer credit.
